About Me

- Welcome to my blog! Life at 20 mph is bit of a misnomer since only our golf cart (the way we get around town) goes 20 mph. Life with six family members and two dogs is non-stop action--but we somehow manage! I started this blog as a place to put all of my favorite bits of information and interests. I'm first of all a lover of Jesus Christ, then a minister's wife, mother, home schooling mom, language arts teacher, gardener, nutrition junkie, book lover and bargain shopper. With a passion for learning new things, in turn, I love to pass along the cool info that I've acquired. Searching the internet and compiling my research in One Note files can take up far too much of my time, but it's lots of fun. I'll share tidbits of what I've learned in hopes that it will be a blessing to you as well!

Favorite things from Trader Joe's
Don't you love adding fresh garlic, basil or cilantro to your pasta? I do, however, I don't always have it on hand--basil only grows during the summer and fall in my garden, and often my garlic is mushy when I go to use it. These little frozen cubes from Trader Joe's are a godsend! They're simply the fresh minced herbs mixed with water, a touch of salt and then frozen into mini-cubes. Fresh ingredients are always at hand now!
